Crunchyroll Brings Kaijus to Life on the World’s Largest Video Wall in Singapore

The Kaijus have landed in Singapore, and they are more colossal than ever. Fans of anime can now catch a sneak peek of the new and highly anticipated anime show, Kaiju No. 8, on the world’s largest video wall at Suntec Singapore Convention & Exhibition Centre, available until June 12, 2024. This stunning Out-of-Home (OOH) campaign brings the excitement and thrill of Kaiju No. 8 to life, towering over visitors with an immersive visual experience.

Commissioned by the global anime streaming platform Crunchyroll, the trailer for Kaiju No. 8 is being displayed across all 664 of the 55” HD LCD screens in 8K resolution on the video wall. These screens, which span over three stories high, make viewers feel as if the kaiju themselves have come roaring to life right in the heart of Singapore. This visual spectacle offers anime fans an unparalleled opportunity to engage with their favorite genre in an extraordinary way.

Anime enthusiasts in Singapore should keep an eye on the Suntec screen, which will feature new and exciting anime from Crunchyroll. The display will be updated every few weeks with different anime titles, ensuring there is always something fresh and exciting to look forward to.

Kaiju No. 8, adapted from the original manga by Naoya Matsumoto, is animated by Production I.G (known for PSYCHO-PASS and GHOST IN THE SHELL) with kaiju artwork and design supervision by Studio Khara (famous for Evangelion: New Theatrical Edition and Shin Godzilla). Crunchyroll has been streaming new episodes of the series live every week at the same time (10:00 PM SGT) as it airs in Japan since April 13. For those who miss the live broadcast, new episodes are available on Crunchyroll every Saturday at 11:30 PM SGT.

In addition to multiple dubs of Kaiju No. 8 (including English, Latin American Spanish, Portuguese, German, French, Italian, Castilian Spanish, Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu), Crunchyroll is offering fans a comprehensive selection of languages. All episodes will be released simultaneously with the Japanese broadcast, with new episodes added each week.

Synopsis of Kaiju No. 8:
In a world plagued by creatures known as Kaiju, Kafka Hibino dreams of joining The Defense Force. He promises to enlist with his childhood friend, Mina Ashiro. However, life takes them in separate directions. While working to clean up after Kaiju battles, Kafka meets Reno Ichikawa. Reno’s determination to join The Defense Force reawakens Kafka’s promise to join Mina and protect humanity.
