June 5th – Shochiku Co., Ltd. and CyberAgent, Inc. are excited to unveil the brand-new OFFICIAL MUSIC TRAILER (Cast Vocals) and the latest character visuals for the anime The World Is Dancing  (co-produced by Shochiku and CyberAgent).

The newly released trailer announces the addition of two stellar cast members: Youji Matsuda as Inuo and Miyuki Sawashiro as Shirabyoshi. Remarkably, this marks Youji Matsuda’s first regular role in a TV anime series. Alongside this exciting news, stunning character visuals and heartfelt comments from the new cast have arrived.

Furthermore, the trailer offers a sneak peek at the captivating insert songs performed by Oniyasha (CV: Yumiri Hanamori) and Zojiro (CV: Romi Park), officially confirming that the cast’s vocal performances will be featured within the series.

A striking new group visual has also been revealed, showcasing the vibrant cast against a traditional Noh stage backboard (Kagami-ita).

Synopsis

In 1374, amid the turmoil of the Northern and Southern Courts’ long running conflict, a boy named Oniyasha is born into a family of sarugaku theater performers. He spends his days in a kind of quiet gloom, haunted by a simple but persistent question: Why do people dance? Then, one day, he witnesses a dance that he feels to be “good”—and everything begins to change. This is the story of the beautiful young boy who would one day shape the art of Noh and be remembered as Zeami.
