Crunchyroll announced today that its streaming service has officially crossed 15 million monthly paying subscribers, a major milestone capping off an eventful month of anime events at Anime Expo and San Diego Comic-Con!
The news also arrives as Crunchyroll recently announced it would be evolving its brand over the coming months, debuting a brand-new logo, look, feel and sound to continue celebrating the growth and passion of the anime community.
“Today marks an exciting milestone not only for Crunchyroll, but for the entire anime industry,” said Rahul Purini, President of Crunchyroll. “It is proof that the rich stories, characters and experiences that our partners create are resonating deeply with fans at record numbers all over the world. As the number of people excited about anime continues to explode and the breadth of content continues to widen, we believe it has never been a better time to be an anime fan.”
Crunchyroll also spotlighted that its library — the world’s largest dedicated anime streaming library — now offers 50,000 episodes and more than 25,000 hours of anime series, music and movies.
