Following up on the recent conclusion of the rebooted Urusei Yatsura anime, another Rumiko Takahashi classic is getting its time in the spotlight. The manga author’s official X (formerly Twitter) account revealed plans for a new Ranma 1/2 anime, with more info to come during a news stream on July 17, 2024.
Rumiko Takahashi originally serialized the Ranma 1/2 manga in the pages of Weekly Shonen Sunday from August 1987 to March 1996, ultimately collecting it in 38 volumes. It went on to inspire a 143-episode TV anime by Studio DEEN and aired on Animax in Asia in English dub.
