
Warner Bros. Japan held a livestream event for the Steel Ball Run: JoJoโs Bizarre Adventure anime today on September 23, 2025, where they made several announcements. The stream began on their YouTube channel at 6:30 PM JST (2:30 AM PDT/5:30 AM EDT/9:30 AM UTC). In addition to the original stream with Japanese audio, Warner Bros. included a separate stream with live English interpretation.
The stream notably took place on the same day as the Steel Ball Run raceโs press conference in the manga. It began with Steven Steel (voiced by Kenta Miyake) introducing the race. Next, it showed a brand new trailer of the anime and introduced the voice actors of the main cast. They also confirmed that the anime will be streaming globally on Netflix in 2026.

STEEL BALL RUN JoJoโs Bizarre Adventure is the sixth season of JoJoโs Bizarre Adventure: The Animation. It adapts the seventh part of Hirohiko Arakiโs manga. The JoJoโs Bizarre Adventure manga began its serialization in Shueishaโs Weekly Shonen Jump magazine in December 1986 and has since gained immense popularity worldwide. Steel Ball Run was initially serialized in the same magazine from January to October 2004, before moving to the monthly Ultra Jump, where it was serialized from March 2005 to April 2011, having 95 chapters in total.
Set in the U.S in 1890, Steel Ball Run follows the first-ever cross-continental horse race across North America. One of the protagonists, Johnny Joestar, is a former genius jockey who became a paraplegic. He forms an alliance with Gyro Zeppeli, a mysterious outlaw, and the two embark on a grueling race across the continent together.
