Original anime film “The Last Blossom” releases on Blu-ray & DVD in Japan on August 26!

Also unveiled: original illustrations by director Baku Kinoshita and illustrator kigimura, set to be used in the packaging of the releases.

To commemorate SUNRISE‘s 50th Anniversary, Bandai Namco Filmworks has launched a project to produce six 3DCG short films, each by a different studio.

“ZAN” will have its pilot film world premiere as part of the “Yoshitaka Amano: Art & Entertainment—A New Creative Challenge” panel at Anime Expo 2026 on July 3!

Based on both original and newly created artwork by Yoshitaka Amano, “ZAN” will be a hand-drawn limited anime series described as a “thrilling sci-fi action fantasy that crosses time and space, woven with stylish heroes and an exhilarating storyline.”

“The Beginning After the End” did not air today due to a scheduling conflict related to coverage of the FIFA World Cup 2026.

The new “Sgt. Frog” movie is listed with a length of 1 hour and 49 minutes.

Directed by Fumitoshi ‌‌Oizaki at BN ‌Pictures and produced to commemorate the anime’s 20th Anniversary, the new movie releases theatrically in Japan next Friday, June 26.

ICYMI: “Sgt. Frog” is also receiving a new TV anime this fall with an all-new Japanese voice cast.
