Mumbai, India – During closing remarks at Crunchyroll’s inaugural Crunchyroll Anime Future Forum in New York City, Crunchyroll President Rahul Purini announced that Crunchyroll Manga is now available in select English-speaking international markets, including India, bringing hundreds of manga titles from leading publishers to more fans around the world. The expansion gives fans access to a single destination where they can read and discover manga from leading publishers and seamlessly stream their anime adaptations on Crunchyroll. Crunchyroll Manga will be available through the new Ultimate Fan membership tier, priced at INR 299 per month or INR 999 annually.
More than 250 titles from J-Novel Club, Square Enix, and Yen Press are now available on Crunchyroll Manga in localized English on iOS, Android, and web in India. The launch includes The Apothecary Diaries, My Dress-Up Darling, Bocchi the Rock!, Bungo Stray Dogs, Delicious in Dungeon, Lycoris Recoil, Sasaki and Miyano, Campfire Cooking in Another World with My Absurd Skill, Konosuba: God’s Blessing on This Wonderful World!, and many more. Additional titles and publishers will follow, including fan-favorite action IP from VIZ Media.
Crunchyroll Manga offers unlimited, ad-free reading across mobile, tablet, and web, with offline reading, full two-page spreads, personalized reading lists and curated recommendations, and the ability to move seamlessly between manga and its anime adaptation on Crunchyroll. In India, Crunchyroll Manga is available through the new Ultimate Fan membership. The tier includes access to Crunchyroll’s anime streaming and manga offerings, allowing fans to enjoy their membership on up to 6 devices. The service is powered by Link-U Group, one of Japan’s leading digital manga service developers. Crunchyroll recently announced a minor investment in the Link-U Group.
“For years, fans have asked us to bring manga closer to their Crunchyroll experience, and we are excited to make that a reality for more fans around the world. Anime and manga are deeply connected, and bringing them together gives fans more ways to discover the stories, characters, and worlds they love,” said Asa Suehira, Chief Content Officer, Crunchyroll. “Expanding into new territories and languages is an important step toward making Crunchyroll an even more complete home for anime fans everywhere.”
The launch builds on an already strong manga culture among Indian anime fans. India ranks among the leading markets globally for digital manga engagement, with 81% of Indian anime fans reading digital manga at least monthly and more than half (56%) engaging with it weekly. This strong connection between anime and manga is reflected globally as well, with 69% of anime viewers surveyed across 11 markets reading digital manga monthly or more, while Crunchyroll users are 1.4 times more likely than non-users to read digital manga weekly.
Since debuting in the U.S. and Canada in October 2025, Crunchyroll Manga has grown its library to more than 450 titles from premier publishing partners, including AlphaPolis, COMPASS, J-Novel Club, Kodansha, MobileBook.jp, Shueisha, Square Enix, Titan Manga, VIZ Media, Yen Press, and more.
