
Anime India 2025 marked a milestone for anime culture in India — blending Japanese pop culture, anime fandom, and industry collaboration on a massive scale. From live cosplay battles and J-pop performances to industry insights and global guests, the event successfully united fans and professionals, solidifying India’s place on the global anime convention map.
Held from 22–24 August 2025 at the NESCO Bombay Exhibition Center, Goregaon, Mumbai — this was India’s biggest anime convention to date.
Day 1:
Unfortunately, we just attended the Muse Press Conference because of the Busy Office schedule
Muse India marked its presence at Anime India 2025 with its first-ever B2B summit—a pivotal part of the Animation & More Summit, which ran alongside the B2C anime expo.

Muse India’s involvement marked a strategic expansion—moving beyond fan-oriented activities to actively engaging with industry professionals. Aligning with themes of IP growth, collaborations, and licensing, Muse’s presence at this B2B session underscores its ambition to deepen ties within the wider AVGC-XR ecosystem.
Nikhil Shinde explained the Muse localization process, distribution platforms of Muse, and how Muse will grow in India.
Day 2:
We started day with Tetsurō Araki (Death Note, Attack on Titan, Spy × Family) attended for a special Media meet & greet and panel discussion.
Anime Society had opportunities to meet him. We just can’t believe we met him, He complemented Anime Society Founder, “Your Tshirt Emilia Tan is nice.”


Creators, Various Clubs, and Media Press people discussed a lot of topics with Araki Tetsuro San. It was once in lifetime chance for Anime Society co-founder Chinmay.
Anime Times Booth:
Later, we visited Anime Time Booth, they were offering a Lucky spin chance to win an autograph of Tetsuro Araki San and t-shirts. Luckily, co-founder won t-shirt lol.




We also had good discussions with Anime Times team! It was nice experience visiting your booth.
Muse India Booth:
Later We visited Muse Booth, it was filled with merchandise from Muse, Photo points with your favorite anime titles like Spy x Family, Hunter X Hunter, One Punch Man, That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime and many more, plus Muse was giving Turbo Granny Caps for free.





Medialink Booth:
Later, we visited the Medialink booth and talked about anime growth in India with Medialink head Jackie Lam sir, it was nice experience talking with Medialink in person.
Medialink announced that they will bring Attack on Titan Final lost chronicles movie and JJK hidden inventory in Indian Cinemas soon






TV Tokyo Booth and Animation ID Station Booth:
Both were small, but we discussed with them also.


Afternoon Lunch break:
Then we were hungry and tired by exploring, we took break exploring Japanese food and other stuff.

Manga Shops:
Later, we visited official manga shops to see novels and mangas of favorite shows like JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure, Re Zero, The Eminence in Shadow and many more, cost was too much high, but atleast we got time to read there lol.




Gaming Booths:
We also saw Versus Gaming and Play Station booths. The passions of gamers were nice, all seem to enjoy playing games.


Day 2 sums up here, we enjoyed lot. Event was cool, we left at 5.30pm.
Day 3 Highlights:
We started our day with media sessions with Hideo Katsumata, President of Avex Pictures, renowned for his contributions to anime hits like Black Clover, Fullmetal Alchemist and Gachiakuta, was one of the standout figures at the convention.
Hideo Katsumata’s appearance added serious star power to Anime India 2025. As a leader behind globally recognized anime productions, his attendance underscored the event’s mission to connect Indian fans directly with industry visionaries. It wasn’t just a convention—it was a moment of cultural exchange and inspiration, bridging creative dialogues between India and the broader anime world.

We had opportunity to ask him questions and we did, by asking him to add Retro titles like City Hunter, Urusei Yatsura etc on Anime Times, also how Anime Times looks to tackle Crunchyroll and Animax in streaming business.
He replied that it was a great moment for the Anime Society team.
Fate Type Moon Panel:
Then we attended Type Moon Panel, the co-founder being a diehard Type Moon fan discussed and enjoy this Panel, with everyone dissing Nasu, FGO, Demon Slayer.

Uma Musume Panel:
We also had a chance to visit and attend Uma Musume Panel to discuss horses and popularity of the game worldwide. Horse racing is very popular in Japan.

Muse India Special Screening of Let the Grieving Soul retire!
Muse had invited us to experience the premier of “Let the Grieving Soul retire” Season 2 Episode 1, and we got the opportunity to watch it first and exclusive in Asia!


Night Concerts:
Concerts with Nakamura Touko San and Dj Tsunko were extremely fun. Fans dancing and enjoying their favorite Japanese music songs and culture.

A particularly memorable highlight was when the Co-Founder of Anime Society had the honor of personally meeting Tetsurō Araki-san, the visionary director behind Death Note and Attack on Titan, and Hideo Katsumata-san, the legendary producer and President of Avex Pictures. Their insights and encouragement symbolized the spirit of collaboration and cultural exchange that Anime India strives to nurture.
As the curtains closed, it became clear that Anime India 2025 was not just an event — it was the beginning of a new chapter for anime in India, paving the way for deeper connections, exciting opportunities, and a vibrant future for fans and industry alike.
